Graduate profile

The graduate is able to creatively and independently solve the issues concerning the biological research and practical tasks of molecular biology, he has knowledge and skills in the field of research methods of living systems at different levels of their organization (molecule, cell, organism, population, ecosystem). The graduate knows scientific methods of research in molecular biology focused on the selected subdiscipline, and he is able to apply these methods in his activities: suggest and formulate scientific projects, organize and lead a team, with a focus on the solutions, to formulate application and innovative projects in the field of molecular biology and to solve these issues in accordance with the needs of society. The graduate knows scientific methods of research and development using scientific knowledge in the field of physiology, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, enzymology, chemical and bioanalytical methods, and techniques. The graduate is able to apply scientific methods, techniques and technologies of genome mapping of living organisms, gene isolation, technologies of construction of production biological systems, preparation of rDNA and genetic engineering techniques. He is able to use the latest scientific and technical procedures and approaches using modern operating systems.

Graduate employment

The graduate is able to creatively and independently solve the issues concerning the biological research and practical tasks of molecular biology, he has knowledge and skills in the field of research methods and techniques of living systems, especially at the molecular level. He knows scientific methods of research and development, such as techniques and technologies of genome mapping of living organisms, gene isolation, technologies of construction of production biological systems, preparation of rDNA and genetic engineering techniques. He is able to work with devices and materials used in basic and applied biological research, to analyse data obtained in experimental research. Through the results of his creative practical work, he will be able to contribute to the development of science and scientific knowledge, as well as to contribute to their application in the field of biotechnology, medicine, agriculture, forestry, pharmacology, and environmental protection.
