Danube AgriFood Master DAFM | Sustainability in Agriculture, Food Production and Food Technology in the Danube Region |
Understanding the intercultural and regional aspects of sustainable agriculture and food technology is crucial in finding viable pathways to long-term success in Central and Eastern European agriculture. This joint master programme will give the students the possibility to improve their knowledge and grow their skill-set regarding the intercultural and social aspects, anthropic landscape and natural resources - related to sustainability in agriculture and the food industry in the Danube region. The main focus of the course will be on self-development in a multicultural European region. At the end of this course, students should be able to identify some of their own culturally-biased assumptions and behaviour, and begin to objectively address the benefits of EU multiculturalism for regional agriculture and food industry. The Master's programme is jointly offered by:

The Establishment of HACCP Training Modules on Food and Feed Safety in the Light of European Standards (Bestfood) |
|
The project “The Establishment of HACCP Training Modules on Food and Feed Safety in the Light of European Standards (Bestfood)” with the project number 2016-1-TR01-KA202-034381 has been approved by the Turkish National Agency under the Call for Proposals in the 2016 approved by the European Commission, received a grant. This project includes the “Cooperation for Innovation and Change of Good Practice” under the Erasmus + Strategic Information Partnership program. In coordination and patronage with Eskişehir’s Directorate for Agriculture and Forestry, with the participation and participation of partners from Germany, England, Slovakia and Ankara University, an educational program has been implemented to facilitate the training program for food workers. As part of the training program, 35 courses were prepared. The total duration of the training is 7 hours. This project was developed under the general food law of the European Union (EU) 178/2002 with the sub-points No. 852/2004 EC “general hygiene rules for food business operators” and 853/2004 (with specific hygiene rules for food animal) in accordance with EC directives created. The aim of the relevant legislation is the protection of food safety and public health. In 2000, the EU Commission adopted a “White Paper” to ensure food safety and to create a new approach to food legislation and food legislation. This document is aimed at consumer confidence and the healthy diet of society. In addition, developments in areas such as surveillance, quick alert system, scientific collaboration, food safety research and risk analysis should be provided. This situation compels compliance with these principles in the phases from manufacture to consumption. Project duration: 2016-2018 Coordinators: Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD., doc. Ing. Tatiana Bojňanská, PhD., Ing. Lucia Gabriny Grešová, PhD. FBFS coordinators: Ing. Jozef Čapla, PhD., Ing. Peter Zajác, PhD., Department of Hygiene and Food Safety, FBFS SUA in Nitra |

Biotechnology and quality of animal products |
|
Submitted project "Biotechnology and quality of animal products" allows students to explain further an issue of the application of the most recent biotechnological methods in the field of genetically modified animal production and analysis (in vitro fertilization, transgenesis - genetically modified individual, cloning...) due to the specific lectures and practical demonstrations in specialized laboratories. In the second part of the project students will be familiarized with the issue and methods of the animal products quality evaluation, as well as with factors that limit the animal production. The absolvents of this intensive program will have skill in analytical evaluation of the animal products with the use of the modern technology. Furthermore, we will put emphasis not only on the classical methods of the animal products quality evaluation, but also on the methods for evaluation of the genetically modified animal products. Project duration: 2013 - 2014 Coordinator: prof. Ing. Peter Chrenek, DrSc., Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, FBFS SUA in Nitra |
