Curriculum vitae of the dean
Norbert Lukáč has worked at the Slovak university of agriculture in Nitra since 1994. After completing his studies at the Secondary School of Agriculture and Services in Levice and university studies at the University of agriculture in Nitra, Faculty of Agronomy, in the field of Zootechnics – specialization Genetics and Reproduction, he worked as a technical assistant, assistant, assistant professor (since 2001), associate professor (since 2007) and professor (since 2013) at the Slovak university of agriculture in Nitra.
In 2000, after defending his Ph.D thesis “Determination of the state of passive humoral immunity of calves in the peripartum period” he obtained a Ph.D degree. In his career, he focuses on research and pedagogical activities in the field of physiology of cells and animals, their expression after stimulation with biotic and xenobiotic substances. Currently, he works on the modelling of signalling pathways and immune response of cells in vitro. He is the author and co-author of four monographs, three university books, 84 CC journal publications, 146 publications (WoS, All Databases), and more than 1454 citations, H index 22. He delivered lectures at several international conferences in China, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Italy, and Portugal. He completed postgraduate studies in the field of subcellular biology and immunology at the University of Veterinary Sciences in Budapest, as well as short-term and long-term research stays at universities in Hungary, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
He led four VEGA projects, three KEGA projects, and three APVV projects. He contributed to the development and co-guarantees accredited study programmes (bachelor's, master's and doctoral) in the field of Biology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences of the Slovak university of agriculture in Nitra and co-guarantees the habilitation procedure and the appointment procedure in the field of biology. From 2011 to 2019, he served as the vice-dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences of the Slovak university of agriculture in Nitra.
